Emmanuel Evangelical Centre, Marsham Street, Westminster We have enjoyed a long standing relationship with EEC as their sound advisors. The large dome ceiling features one of the largest glass domes of its type and the reflective acoustics of the domed ceiling and circular room are a real challenge. Having used a minimalist system of four Nexo PS10s for its formative years as a mainstream Christian Church EEC found that they needed to upgrade to a system which. Partly due to their own needs but also due to the increasing number of organisations using the facility. The main speaker system consists of two LDS column speakers on each side of the platform. These amazing speakers provide all the sound for the entire 1000 seater auditorium along with a single EMS isobaric sub bass unit. The LDS speakers use ‘ribbon’ speaker technology and are very predictable and directional. Assisted by the acoustic paint used on all the upper wall surfaces the sound you hear is from the speakers & not from the room ! EEC is one of only a handful of churches in the world using a DiGiCo mixer. These state of the art digital mixers are more often seen on large tours or in West End or Broadway Theatres. So why DiGiCo? Partly down to sound quality and ease of use but also due to the churches client base who use the centre when its not being used for EEC’s Sunday services.
